Chrisalis Home Academy, Child Care in Upper Marlboro, MD

OUR INSPIRATION

 

Every child born into this world is a gift from God. From such small beginnings, every child can grow into an amazing person. With this belief in mind, we developed our name: Chrisalis Home Academy. The word Chrisalis (correctly spelled Chrysalis), is defined as “anything in an early or intermediate stage of development;” like a butterfly just before spreading its wings. Coupling this definition with our unwavering belief in God and Christ, we adapted the word from ‘Chrysalis,’ to ‘Chrisalis.’ Wanting to provide faith and development-based care, we designed our Academy to feel like home; therein lies the inspiration behind ‘Chrisalis Home.’ The word ‘Academy’ represents our dedication to preparing our children for success through fun and engaging learning activities. Our original logo features two children, with a dove holding olive branches (a symbol of peace) between them. The dove, a symbol of innocence, tenderness, and love, represents your child, and how we strive to care for them each and every day, here at Chrisalis Home Academy.
